Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has taken the digital route to spread awareness on road safety. The two-wheeler brand has opted for the digital route to ensure social distancing during to the Coronavirus pandemic. The digital road safety awareness training initiative is called ‘Honda Road Safety E-Gurukul’.
Since its start in May 2020, the digital road safety campaign has spread to 50 cities across 19 states and union territories. Honda has digitally educated over 23,000 people including 8,500 kids of 230 schools, 43 colleges and 137 corporate offices across India.
The road safety instructors are utilizing the age-appropriate Road Safety Learning Programs to enhance the retention of road safety awareness among all age groups. The initiative explains the importance of safe riding etiquettes, safety gears, road rules, traffic signs through an engaging mix of theory, videos, case studies etc.
Honda has spread road safety awareness to more than 34 lakh people of all age groups through its 14 Traffic Training Parks, four Safety Driving Education Centres and regular activities for schools, colleges, corporate and societies.
