- Honda to launch a new motorcycle on 30 September
- Likely to be called Highness or H’Ness
- Expected to be based on the Honda Rebel
Honda is set to launch a new motorcycle in India on 30 September. And according to trademarks filed by the company, it is likely to be called the Highness or H’Ness. The teaser video released by Honda revealed the motorcycle’s thumping exhaust note suggesting that it could be a cruiser and rival the upcoming Royal Enfield Meteor 350. In fact, the new Honda Highness is expected to be based on the Rebel that is sold in global markets. Interestingly, Honda had even patented the Rebel’s design in India back in 2017. However, it is unclear whether this motorcycle will have the same design or will be developed specially for India.
Nevertheless, since the Highness is to be sold through Honda’s premium Big Wing showrooms, it is expected to offer premium features and components. And if we are to speculate its pricing, the Honda Highness could retail around Rs 2.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh- in the ballpark of the CB300R’s price tag.
