- Honda Vario 160 launched in Thailand
- Powered by a 15bhp-producing 160cc engine
- Unlikely to be launched in India
Honda recently unveiled the 2022 Vario 160 and has now launched the scooter in Thailand. It will go up against the Yamaha Aerox 155 there.
The Vario 160 is edgy and sharp when it comes to styling and it somewhat resembles Honda’s own Grazia 125 which is sold in India. The aggressive LED headlamp, sharp lines and creases all make for an interesting looking scooter nonetheless. Its list of features includes a full-digital instrument cluster, ABS, USB charging port and 18-litres of under seat storage.
Powering the Vario 160 is a 160cc engine that produces 15bhp and 13.4Nm. In comparison, its rival- the Yamaha Aerox 155 also churns out 15bhp, although with a minutely higher torque. The scooter rides on telescopic forks up front and a single-sided shock at the rear with 14-inch wheels at both ends.
The Vario 160 would be an interesting prospect for the Indian market as Honda does not have any scooter in that segment here. However, there is no word from the company regarding its official launch timeline for India yet.
