- Both are powered by a 149.68cc motor
- Use the same chassis too
- The bikes differ in terms of design and hardware
Bajaj Auto recently launched its latest bike, the Pulsar N150. It’s the third Pulsar offering in the Bajaj 150cc bike line-up alongside the existing Pulsar P150 and the Pulsar 150. While the Pulsar N150 is certainly a new model, it is based on the existing P150, and here’s how the two differ.
One of the most significant and noticeable changes is the design. The N150 features different fascia and bodywork all over. Bajaj has topped the P150 with a small visor upfront unlike the N150. Even the tank shrouds on the N150 look different and are larger than those on the P150. While the new Pulsar gets a single-piece seat, the Pulsar P150 uses a split unit.
Then, the N150 is loaded with a 260mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum unit at the rear. On the other hand, Bajaj offers an optional 230mm rear disc on the P150. While the Pulsar siblings ride on the same 17-inch wheels, the N gets wider tyres – 90/90 front and 120/80 rear.
Lastly, the 149.6cc single-cylinder motor that makes 14.5bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000rpm is common for both. This engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox. Regardless of the differences between the two Pulsars, both models are oriented towards commuting and could make for recommendable first-time purchases.
