The Ola S1 electric scooter has created some notable buzz in the EV market in the past few years and we’ve also encountered various queries about it, one related to the booking process. So, how exactly do you purchase an Ola Electric scooter? Let’s see from this detailed story.
Select the model, battery option and colour
There are a total of three models available in the S1 range: S1 Pro, S1 and S1 Air. However, with its recent portfolio update, Ola now offers multiple battery options for the S1 and S1 Air. So, once you visit the brand’s official site, fixate on the model as well as the battery capacity of your choice.
Once done, you’ll have 12 colours to choose from for the Pro while the standard and Air trim get 11 and five paint schemes, respectively.
Payment
After completing the above process, buyers have to their spot for a token amount of Rs. 999 on the Ola Electric website. This is followed by entering your pin code, phone number and OTP. Once you complete the reservation procedure, the site displays the breakdown of the overall amount including the handling charges, registration, helmets (accessories), as well as the Ola Care Plus.
While Ola does provide insurance for the scooter during the time of purchase, it also allows the owners to buy it at their convenience. However, the documents will then need a manual verification and this could cause a delay in the delivery.
Then, there’s the final payment mode that the customer wants to opt for. The options include credit/debit cards, net banking as well as split and pay. The last option allows you to pay via multiple methods and breakdown the amount as well.
Once the entire payment is made, you receive an order ID and have to wait for the delivery date of your Ola S1 Pro electric scooter. Once it arrives at the Ola Experience Centre, you can collect it from there.
Offline
Even though Ola has dedicated Experience Centres across the country, the offline process is currently only available for financing. So, the majority of the purchase work is to be done online.
