After Husqvarna was acquired by KTM boss Stefan Pierer’s holding company last year, everyone thought the company would be revived by the Austrian, just like it happened for KTM. And maybe the thoughts were right. Husqvarna was reunited with the Husaberg brand and now the Swedish manufacturer has announced the models that it is planning to sell in the United States.
A total of four new models will be introduced in the US – the Husqvarna FE 350, Husqvarna FE 501S, the FC 350 four-stroke MX and the TE 125 two-stroke. All these motorcycles are nothing but rebadged KTMs –a way the company wants to establish its Swedish off-road company.
Currently, none of these Husqvarna motorcycles are legal in India and because of which it won’t be sold in country. But the interesting fact is that the KTM and Husqvarna boss has confirmed that it will start manufacturing the Husqvarna motorcycles at Bajaj’s Chakan facility in the coming years. This will not only help Indian enthusiasts get access to these bikes but will also open up a new segment in the country. It will be a win-win situation for both, the company and the Indian consumers.
