The Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 has been spotted testing in Barcelona, Spain. By the looks of it, the motorcycle seems to be ready to hit the production lines.
The Vitpilen 701 is a neo-retro motorcycle, with several styling cues carried over from the Vitpilen concept unveiled in 2014. The sculpted fuel tank, clip-on handlebars and the round theme for the headlamp, instrument console and mirrors give it a café-racer character. The subframe has been redesigned to accommodate a stubby rear section, which was devoid of a pillion seat. The Vitpilen 701 shares its 690cc powertrain with the Husqvarna 701 Enduro and 701 Supermoto. Suspension setup can be expected to be sourced from WP.
The Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 is expected to be unveiled at the EICMA Show later this month, along with smaller variants powered by 373cc engines. It will compete against the Ducati Scrambler and Triumph Street Twin.
