Suzuki has launched the 25th Anniversary Edition Hayabusa in the UK. This model features a few tweaks over the standard model and here’s all that we know about this special edition.
The flagship offering from the Japanese two-wheeler brand sports a new paint scheme called Glass Blaze Orange or Glass Sparkle Black. It’s a two-tone theme covering the Hayabusa in a contrasting scheme of black and orange. Then, to set it apart from the standard bike, Suzuki has also added a logo on the fuel tank, between the tank lid, and the handlebar. Another neat touch distinguishing the 25th Anniversary model is the laser-etched logo on the exhaust mufflers.
Further, Suzuki has used golden-finished brake disc carriers and chain adjusters, which also elevates the bike’s appearance. Apart from that, the special edition has retained the mechanicals and features from the base model. It is powered by a 1,340cc inline four-cylinder motor that develops 190bhp and 142Nm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Along with LED illumination, the Hayabusa also features launch control, active speed limiter, hill hold, cruise control, and ABS. It rides on USD front forks and a monoshock, while the braking hardware includes a dual front and single rear disc with ABS.
Currently, the Suzuki Hayabusa is offered only in the standard trim in India. It is priced at Rs. 16.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and has no direct rivals in the current Indian two-wheeler market.
