- Launched in UK and Europe
- Same as India-spec model
- Powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin engine
Royal Enfield has launched the Shotgun 650 in Europe and UK a few days after it announced the pricing of the motorcycle in India. While it is priced from Rs 3.59 lakh, ex-showroom here, the UK will get it for GBP 6,699. The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will cost EUR 7,590 in Europe.
That said, the motorcycle is manufactured at Royal Enfield’s plant in Chennai before being exported to these nations and is no different than the model sold in India. The Shotgun 650 is offered in three variants and four colour options. Now, styled like a bobber, the motorcycle comes with a single-piece seat as standard to accentuate its look. While it is based on the Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun comes with revised ergonomics thanks to its flatter handlebar and footpeg position. Even the fenders are different at both ends to give it a unique look.
Underneath though is the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine with 46.4bhp and 52.3Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch. Even the feature list is the same as the Super Meteor 650 and includes the signature Tripper Navigation system, the Wingman app, full-LED lighting and USB charging port as standard.
While the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 does not have a direct rival in India, it will go up against the Kawasaki Vulcan S and Honda Rebel 500 in export markets.
