Royal Enfield has finally introduced the Super Meteor 650 in North America and Canada almost a year after it was showcased at the 2022 EICMA in Italy.
The motorcycle is made in India and exported to international markets. In the American markets Royal Enfield is offering the Super Meteor in three variants- Astral, Interstellar and Celestial. Now the Astral and Interstellar versions cater to solo riders and miss out on the back rest and tall windscreen like the Celestial variant. Then there is the difference in colour options. The Super Meteor 650 Astral is offered in Green, Black and Blue while the Interstellar is offered in Grey and Green. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor Celestial variant gets two-tone colours- Red and Blue with cream as the secondary paint.
Underpinning the Super Meteor 650 is the same 648cc, parallel-twin engine as the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. It churns out 46.2bhp and 52Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. In terms of features, it comes with LED headlamp and LED turn signals, there is the Tripper Navigation system as standard too. Moreover, it is equipped with Showa upside down forks.
In the USA, the Super Meteor 650 is priced from USD 6,999 which is equivalent to Rs 5.82 lakh while the top-spec Interstellar is priced at USD 7,299 or Rs 6.07 lakh.
