The 2017 Honda CBR650F has been launched in Malaysia, along with its streetfighter sibling - the CB650F. We expect it to be launched in India in the next few months as a locally assembled model.
The new Honda CBR650F gets a new paint scheme to set it apart from the older model. It also gets a new LED headlamp. Under the skin, the engine has been revised to meet the stringent Euro 4 emission norms. The power output of the 649cc inline four engine has been increased by 4bhp to 90bhp, while peak torque figure stands at 64Nm. The gear ratios of the six-speed transmission have been revised to improve acceleration.
In Malaysia, the Honda CBR650F has been priced at RM 47,115 (Rs 7.06 lakhs) while the CB650F retails at RM 44,995 (Rs 6.74 lakhs). In India, Honda has not yet launched a BS IV-compliant version of the middleweight sports touring bike. The 2017 CBR650F will be launched here as a locally assembled model like its predecessor, although we can expect it to be more expensive at Rs 8 lakhs.
