- New Benelli TNT 600i spotted
- Gets a complete makeover
- India launch likely this year
The new Benelli TNT 600i has been spotted in China again, and this time in production-ready form, hinting at its imminent global launch.
To begin with, the new Benelli 600’s styling is a stark contrast to the bulky appearance of the previous model. It gets a low-slung, full-LED headlamp, a muscular yet well-contoured fuel tank, and a stubby tail section that sits on a new sub-frame. Moreover, the distinctive twin underseat exhausts on the older model have been replaced by a single underbelly unit. While braking and suspension hardware appears to be retained, the new Benelli TNT 600 gets a new swingarm.
The new spy images also reveal that the motorcycle will come loaded with features like a full-colour TFT screen, illuminated switchgear, and even keyless ignition with a push-button start. The new Benelli 600 is likely to come powered by the 600cc, in-line four-cylinder engine that has been tweaked to comply with BS6 norms. While the previous model 85.7bhp and 54.6Nm, we can expect the new motorcycle to have a slight change in output.
Furthermore, the motorcycle will get a new name and is likely to be called the SR600K or SRK600. However, we expect Benelli India to retain the TNT 600i name when it is launched here probably later this year or early 2021.
