- Retains styling from the Euro-4 model
- Gets revised layout for the instrument cluster
- Indian launch details unavailable yet
The off-road spec 2021 Benelli TRK 502X Euro-5 has been launched in the European market at €6,240 (Rs 5.41 lakh). The latest iteration of the adventure-tourer will join the road-biased TRK 502 in the Indian market very soon, although the official details are unavailable yet. The latter is already available for sale in India at an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 4.80 lakh.
The 2021 model carries forward the styling cues from its predecessor. Thus, the 2021 Benelli TRK 502X retains a steel trellis frame, a twin-pod headlight setup, a tall windscreen, a semi-fairing design, knuckle guards, muscular fuel tank, split-style seats, wire-spoke wheels, and a tall-set exhaust. The layout of the digital instrument cluster has been revised for 2021. The cycle parts retain 320mm twin, petal-type rotors at the front and a 260mm single, petal-type disc at the back to perform the anchoring tasks. The suspension setup includes 50mm upside-down front forks and a preload-adjustable rear mono-shock.
The mechanical specifications will be similar to the TRK 502, and the off-road biased TRK 502X will continue to use a 499cc, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the engine is tuned to produce 46.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 46Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.
The TRK 502X should arrive in the Indian market soon. It will carry a marginally higher price tag than its road-biased version and we expect the 502 X to arrive in the Rs 5.20-5.40 lakh ex-showroom range.
