- 2021 Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT revealed in Australia
- Gets Euro 5- compliant engine and new colours
- Could be launched in India in early 2021
Suzuki has unveiled the 2021 V-Strom 650 XT for the Australian market. And the biggest update for the new V-Strom is the Euro 5-compliant 645cc, V-twin engine that churns out 70bhp and 62Nm.
This means that the BS6 version of the adventure-touring motorcycle could make its way to India soon, probably by early 2021. Apart from the cleaner engine, Suzuki has also adorned the 2021 V-Strom 650 XT with a new list of colour options. There is silver paint with blue highlights and rims, a full-black paint with red on its ‘beak’ and a white colour option which features gold rims.
Nevertheless, the rest of the 2021 V-Strom 650 XT remains identical to the previous version. It weighs 216kg and rides on 43mm telescopic forks upfront and a preload and rebound adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware comprises twin 320mm discs for the front with two-piston calipers and a single 260mm disc at the rear with a single-piston caliper. The setup is accompanied by a dual-channel ABS.
When the BS6-compliant Suzuki V-Strom arrives in India, we can expect to cost around Rs 7.60 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete against the Kawasaki Versys 650 in the country.
