- Honda CB500X updated for 2022
- Gets significant mechanical updates
-India launch likely in the next few months
Honda has taken the wraps off the 2022 CB500X for international markets. The adventure-tourer gets significant updates and is likely to be launched in India sometime this year.
To begin with, the CB500X now rides on 41mm Showa upside-down forks. Although non-adjustable, these are a welcome change over the telescopic forks on the previous model. It also gets a new front wheel made of cast aluminum that is lighter than before. And fitted on the new wheel are two discs, 296mm each that replace the single 310mm disc offered on the previous version.
Adding to the mechanical updates is the new swingarm that Honda claims is a kilogram lighter. And to top it off, the 2022 Honda CB500X has also been adorned with a new colour scheme called Pearl Organic Green with Black. Nonetheless, the rest of the motorcycle- in terms of drivetrain and design- remains the same as the one sold in India currently.
Speaking of which, even though we expect the updated CB500X to be launched in India later this year, it will be interesting to see how Honda prices it. Currently, at Rs 6.87 lakh, ex-showroom, the motorcycle is already exorbitantly priced.
