- Gets all-new styling
- Available in two colourways
- India launch likely soon
KTM has unveiled the 2022 RC 200 for the international markets, and the motorcycle should be available in India very soon. The updated model carries several styling upgrades and new features over the outgoing version. The styling, for example, now features a sharper theme along with an updated front fascia, revised pillion setup, and a more modern instrument cluster.
The 2022 model features a single-pod halogen headlight, a larger LCD screen, and a bigger fuel tank. The ergonomics, too, have undergone upgrades and the 2022 RC 200 offers a relatively upright rider’s triangle. The motorcycle is available in two colour choices – Black and White. Both colourways use a dual-tone finish and orange paint for the sub-frame and alloy wheels.
Underneath the updated styling is a revised chassis that now features a bolted sub-frame instead of the welded unit on the previous generation model. The suspension tasks are handled by 43mm WP APEX big piston forks at the front and WP APEX mono-shock at the back. The braking setup comprises a 320mm single disc at the front and a 230mm single rotor at the back. The safety net includes a dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.
The mechanical specifications remain similar to the old motorcycle. Thus, the 2022 KTM RC 200 continues to use a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 25.4bhp of power and 19.5Nm of peak torque.
The new 2022 KTM RC range, which comprises the RC 125, RC 200, and RC 390, should arrive in the Indian market very soon. While the official details are unavailable yet, sources indicate a September 2021 launch in India.
