- Global unveil scheduled to take place on 7 December
- Indian launch likely in early 2022
- To rival the Ducati Multistrada V4 and BMW R 1250 GS
Triumph Motorcycles has confirmed that its all-new Tiger 1200 adventure tourer will debut on 7 December, 2021. This new adventure-tourer will reach the Indian market soon after its global launch and we expect to see it on our shores in early 2022.
The company has already showcased the prototype motorcycle several times in the past. The motorcycle, as seen in the official teaser videos and images, will feature a lean design, a twin-pod headlight, a semi-fairing, a tall windscreen, split-style saddle, tall-set exhaust, and tubeless-tyre compatible cross-spoke wheels.
The details about the mechanical specifications are unavailable yet, although we expect the power output to be at par with its rivals such as the BMW R 1250 GS and the Ducati Multistrada V4. The feature list, too, should be at par with the competition. The official teaser videos have confirmed features such as full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled colour-TFT display on the new Tiger 1200.
The electronic rider aids, similar to its rivals, should include an inertia measurement unit. This should bring safety features such as cornering ABS, and lean-sensitive traction control system to the motorcycle. The motorcycle will most likely also get heated grips, heated seats, and a cruise control system.
