- Retains the 500cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder motor
- Gets LED illumination and a fully digital instrument console
- Gets a revised saddle too
Benelli has unveiled the 2023 Leoncino 500 in Malaysia. The bike is set to make its India debut very soon and here’s what the updated model looks like.
On the design front, the 2023 Leoncino 500 features the same LED headlight with a centrally-mounted projector headlamp. The saddle has been revised for the latest model and aims to be more comfortable for both the rider and the pillion. The Leoncino 500 has retained its butch design and the ornamental Lion of Pesaro on the front fender. Complementing the scrambler look is the rear single-sided tyre-hugger.
The 2023 model draws power from the same engine. It’s a 500cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder motor with the output rated at 47.6bhp and 46Nm. It’s mated to the six-speed gearbox too is likely unchanged. On the feature front, the 2023 Leoncino 500 gets LED illumination, a fully digital instrument console, and ABS. That said, Benelli could have equipped it with smartphone connectivity since it has pretty much become an unsaid norm of today.
The hardware setup for the latest model comprises 50mm USD front forks, and an offset rear shock. The braking hardware consists of dual 320mm front discs and a single 260mm rear disc mounted on 17-inch alloys. The wheels come wrapped in 120/70 front and 160/60 rear tyres from Pirelli.
Benelli will offer the bike in four colours for the international market – red, dark matt grey, black and green. We expect the same to be launched in India soon.
