India-bound 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650: Details Explained

Kawasaki has announced its 2023 line up for the international markets, and the list includes the updated Ninja 650. This motorcycle gets styling revision in the form of a new paint theme and a major feature upgrade. The 2023 iteration of the Ninja 650 will arrive in India, although the exact launch details are not available yet. While we await an announcement, here we explain the top details about the 2023 Kawasaki Ninja 650.

NEW Feature

For 2023, Kawasaki has updated the feature list by adding the two-level traction control system – a feature that is already available on the 2022 Versys 650. This enhances rider safety and joins dual-channel ABS in the electronic aids department. Other features have been retained from the previous version, and the 2023 Ninja 650 continues to pack an LED headlight, LED taillight, and a Bluetooth-enabled colour TFT display.

New Colours

The 2023 model also gets new paint options, and internationally, the Ninja 650 is available in three colours – Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Gray with Ebony, Pearl Robotic White with Metallic Matte Flat Raw Graystone and Ebony, and KRT edition that uses Lime Green paint with Ebony. Although the official details are unavailable, we could see all three colours in our market. The design, on the other hand, remains unaltered, and the 2023 Ninja 650 continues to use a twin-pod headlight, a full-fairing, a muscular fuel tank, a split-style seat, and a compact exhaust canister.

Unchanged Specifications

The Ninja 650 already complies with the newest emission norms, and thus the 2023 iteration continues to use the 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox that produces a maximum output of 67bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 64Nm at 6,700rpm. The hardware, too, continues to use telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, dual disc brakes at the front, and a single rotor at the back.

Prices

The motorcycle is already available in the international markets. In the US, the 2023 Ninja is available from USD 7,999 (Rs 6.58 lakh) onwards. In comparison, the 2022 version was listed from USD 7,899 (Rs 6.50 lakh). The motorcycle should arrive in the Indian market in the first half of 2023. The updated model will most likely carry a marginal price increase over the existing version.
