- Gets new Racing Red colour for chassis and sub-frame
- Cosmic Black paint theme discontinued
- India launch likely this month
BMW Motorrad has revealed its 2024 model year lineup, comprising the latest iteration of the G 310 RR. It will be sold in an updated Cosmic Black 2 paint theme. This colour option will benefit from Racing Red paint for the chassis and the sub-frame. Further, it will get updated decals on the fairing. Notably, unlike the 2024 G 310 R and G 310 GS, BMW Motorrad has not released pictures of this new paint theme.
Meanwhile, the company has discontinued the existing Cosmic Black theme from the list. The new Cosmic Black 2 colour will be sold alongside the triple-tone Style Sports paint theme. On the other hand, the styling remains unaltered, and the 2024 G 310 RR retains the twin-pod projector-style headlight, full-fairing, split-style seats, side-slung exhaust, and clip-on-style handlebars. The hardware, too, remains similar to the outgoing version, and the 2024 BMW G 310 GS retains upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and disc brakes on both wheels. Further, this motorcycle rides on 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels on both ends that are shod in tubeless tyres.
Then, the mechanical specifications, too, will remain unchanged, and the 2024 model will continue to use the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor with a dual-overhead-camshaft and four-valve setup. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm in Track and Sport modes. The numbers, however, are limited to 25.4bhp at 7,700rpm and 25Nm at 6,700rpm in Rain and Urban modes. The company claims a top speed of 160kmph in Track and Sport modes. Meanwhile, the top speed is limited to 125kmph in the Rain and Urban modes.
This new paint theme is expected to arrive in India very soon. In fact, our sources indicate that the updated G 310 models should arrive in the dealerships in India by the end of July 2023.
