- TRK 800 spotted testing in China
- Gets 80bhp motor
- India launch next year
Benelli is working on a range of new motorcycles and the TRK 800 is one of it. The company recently uploaded a video that showed a prototype of this big ADV on test.
In China, this bike will be called the SRB 750. But for the world markets including India, it will carry the TRK 800 name. Other than the name difference, there will be some design and aesthetic change on the Indian model. The powertrain, however, will continue to be the same.
The TRK 800 will get its power from the same motor that powers the 752Scruiser and the Leoncino 800 scrambler. This 745cc parallel-twin motor makes around 80bhp of peak power and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Just like the other new Benellis, the TRK 800 is likely to get a host of new features and electronic aids like TFT instrument, keyless ignition and riding modes.
The launch for this Benelli was planned late this year, however, was postponed due to the COVID 19 pandemic. We can expect the company to reveal the final production version at the end of this year. The bike is likely to make its India debut sometime next year.
