Ducati recently took the wraps off the 2022 Multistrada V4 for global markets, upgrading it subtly for the new model year. While the India launch time has not been officially revealed, we can expect the 2022 Multistrada V4 to be introduced here sometime later this year. Until then, we bring to you a detailed image gallery of the BMW R1250GS rival.
The change to the 2022 Multistrada V4 is not instantly noticeable because Ducati has kept its styling the same. However, the motorcycle does receive a new colour option in its ‘S’ trim called Iceberg White. This will be sold alongside the Ducati Red and Aviator Grey colours.
Nonetheless, the significant updates comes in the form of an updated electronics package. The new Multistrada V4 gets a new suspension setup called Minimum Preload added to its sem-automatic function. It allows the rider to reduce the height, making it easier to flat foot.
Adding to that, the Multistrada V4 also gets an update to the Human-Machine Interface and Ducati Connect software. While these software upgrades are offered as standard on the 2022 model, they will be offered to existing Multistrada V4S owners for free.
Furthermore, Ducati has also listed the optional accessories for the new Multistrada V4 which include a lowered suspension kit and aluminium bags. The lowering kit drops the seat height by 20mm. Meanwhile, the panniers that are made by Givi and designed by Centro Stile Ducati offer 76-litres of storage. The top case, on the other hand, offers 41-litres of storage capacity.
Apart from these changes, the Ducati Multistrada V4 remains the same in terms of its engine and hardware. It continues to comes with a 1158cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 168bhp and 125Nm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
