Ducati has unveiled the new variant of its flagship adventure tourer motorcycle, the Multistrada V4. Christened as the Multistrada V4 Rally, this variant benefits from a larger fuel tank, longer suspension travel, and a redesigned windscreen among other updates. Here we bring you the detailed image gallery of the new Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally.
The styling cues are similar to the standard Multistrada V4, and the Rally edition retains design elements such as a twin-pod headlight, beak-style front fender, semi-fairing, split-style seat, and a tall-set exhaust.
The mechanical specifications, too, are identical to the standard Multistrada V4, and the Rally variant uses the same 1,158cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 167.6bhp at 10,750rpm and 121Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm.
Standard equipment on the Multistrada V4 Rally includes the Ducati Skyhook Suspension EVO (DSS) semi-active suspension setup with 200mm of travel on both ends. It is also equipped with the Auto-levelling function.
The off-road persona of the motorcycle is enhanced with tubeless-tyre compatible spoke rims and reinforced engine guards. Further, this variant packs additional range with the new 30-litre fuel tank.
To enhance rider comfort, the Multistrada V4 Rally comes with a redesigned windscreen that’s 40mm taller and 20mm wider than the standard version.
The electronic suspension setup also brings in the minimum preload function that allows the rider to lower the bike when stopping and riding at low speed. Then, the Multistrada V4 Rally further benefits from the easy lift function which is aimed to reduce the effort required while lifting the motorcycle from the side stand.
The tail, too, has been lengthened and the case attachment is set back to offer more space in the passenger's leg area. In fact, passenger comfort is further enhanced through footrests with larger rubber inserts that are claimed to reduce the level of transmitted vibrations.
In addition, a centre stand is standard on this bike to help with the loading and unloading of the side cases and to perform any maintenance on long journeys easier.
This variant also benefits from the front and rear radar system to support functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Other electronic rider safety features include four ride modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro), cornering ABS, cornering lights, wheelie control, and traction control.
The cockpit comprises a 6.5-inch TFT colour dashboard that works with the Ducati Connect application and brings access to navigation, calls, and music.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will be sold in three different versions. The Adventure Radar version will be equipped with adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection. The Adventure Travel and Radar will further benefit from aluminium side cases, heated grips, and saddles. Meanwhile, the Full Adventure will get a homologated Akrapovič silencer and a carbon fibre front mudguard.
The Ducati Multistrada V4 Rally will arrive in international dealerships starting from February 2023. The motorcycle will be available in two colours – Ducati Red and Brushed Aluminium with Matte Black. The India launch details are not available yet but we expect to see this model on our shores in the second half of 2023.
