- Ducati Streetfighter V2 breaks cover
- Gets similar tech as the Panigale V2
- Would be launched in India next year
Ducati has showcased the all-new Streetfighter V2 during the fourth episode of its World Premiere series. The motorcycle is set to debut in international markets soon and possibly make its way to India sometime in 2022.
The Streetfighter V2 is inspired by the flavours of the Streetfighter V4. It borrows the same aggressively designed bodywork with the low, full-LED headlamp, aluminum finished radiator shrouds, and the cuts and creases on the belly pan. While it would take a second to set the V2 and V4 apart, the stubby exhaust canister differentiates the two. And in between the rider's legs is the 955cc, Suprquadro V2 engine that is claimed to put out 153 horses at 10,750rpm and 101Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. The Streetfighter V2 also comes with the six-speed DQS EVO 2 two-way quickshifter.
And while the motorcycle does not get the wings from the V4 as standard, Ducati has stretched the single-sided aluminum swingarm a bit for better stability. Doing the suspension duties are 43mm Shows BPF and a fully-adjustable Sach monoshock. Meanwhile, braking is done by Brembo Monobloc M4.32 calipers up front and a 245mm caliper at the rear. And lastly, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 is one of the first motorcycles to come with the Diable Rosso IV fitted. The electronics suite comprises a 4.3″ TFT dash and includes a six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive traction control, wheelie control, and cornering ABS. There also are three engine maps and three riding modes on offer.
