- Price equivalent to Rs 7.20 lakh
- Gets 776cc, parallel-twin engine
- To rival KTM 790 Duke, Yamaha MT-07
Suzuki took the silk cover off the GSX-8S at the 2022 EICMA in Italy last year alongside the 800DE adventure bike. And now, after being launched in Europe, the streetfighter has made its way to the USA with a price that translates to Rs 7.20 lakh.
For that price, Suzuki is offering a 776cc, parallel-twin engine that is able to push out 81.7bhp and 77.6Nm. These figures from the unit are in the same arena as its rivals- the Yamaha MT-07 and Kawasaki Z650. It will also go up against the KTM 790 Duke and the Triumph Street Triple. Suzuki has kitted the motorcycle with a boatload of accessories like ride-by-wire, ride modes, traction control, ABS and a two-way quickshifter. It also gets a low RPM assist to ease your city rides. Along with these rider aids, the GSX-8S also comes with a five-inch colour TFT display and full-LED lighting.
As for its styling, the GSX-8S is quite a looker and comes with a radical design language. It sports a stacked LED headlamp, sharp tank shrouds, a muscular fuel tank and an aluminum swingarm with an exposed frame and sub-frame for a naked look. That said, it does seem to borrow inspiration from the GSX-S1000.While there is no word about its Indian launch yet, we can expect Suzuki to bring the GSX-8S to India sometime later this year with an expected price of around Rs 7.5-8 lakh, ex-showroom.
