- V-Strom 1050XT likely to be introduced in India soon
- List of optional accessories revealed for global markets
Suzuki revealed the V-Strom 1050XT, its flagship adventure-touring motorcycle at the 2019 EICMA. Now, it has announced a couple of accessory packages that will be offered with the motorcycle as options.
First up is the ‘Explore’ package that includes engine crash guards, LED auxiliary lamps, aluminium engine bash plate, heated grips along with full aluminium panniers and top-box. It costs GBP 2499 (Rs 2.31 lakhs). The second accessory package called the ‘Tour’ pack consists of aluminium top-box and panniers and is priced at GBP 1,299 (Rs 1.2 lakhs).
These packages are available for the off-road focused V-Strom 1050XT. The road-biased V-Strom 1050 gets a ‘City’ package which costs GBP 699 (Rs 64,800). This includes a 55-litre top-box along with a centre stand.
Suzuki has completely redesigned the V-Strom which now takes styling inspiration from the manufacturer’s iconic ADV- the DR Big. Moreover, the feature list is also longer and includes LED lighting, a full-colour LCD display, improved traction control, hill-hold control, cruise control, three power modes and a revised ECU.
The motorcycle comes powered by a 1037cc, V-twin engine that produces more power than the previous model at 105bhp although with slightly lesser torque at 100Nm. Apart from these changes, the V-Strom remains the same essentially. We can expect Suzuki to introduce the V-Strom 1050 in India at the upcoming 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to be priced around Rs 14 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs.
