- Triumph Rocket 3 special edition unveiled
- Gets unique colour scheme
- Is likely to be launched in India next year
Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled a special edition of the Rocket 3 and Rocket 3 GT called the 221 Edition, for international markets. These motorcycles will be on sale for a year and are expected to be launched in India by early 2022.
Now, the Rocket 3 221 Edition is built to celebrate its massive 221Nm of torque- that is one of the highest on any production motorcycle. Hence, Triumph has plastered the tank recesses with ‘221’. The folks at Hinckley have also made sure everyone knows the engine specs thoroughly by adding ‘2458cc engine, 167PS power, 85.9mm stroke and 110.2mm bore’ on the fuel tank that has been finished in Red Hopper shade. The front mudguard also gets the same colour with contrasting Sapphire Black brackets. Even the flyscreen, side panels, rear section, radiator cowls, and headlamp cowls have been done up in Sapphire Black.
Apart from this change in colour scheme and graphics, the Rocket 3 221 Edition remains the same as the standard versions in hardware, electronics, and features. However, we can expect it to demand a slight premium over the R and GT, costing Rs 19.90 lakh and Rs 20.50 lakh respectively.
