- Revealed for international markets
- Uses a 660cc, inline three-cylinder engine
- Available in three colours
Triumph Motorcycles has revealed the all-new Tiger Sport 660 for the international markets. This new middleweight model will also reach the Indian market very soon although the official launch timeline is not available yet.
The new Triumph Tiger Sport 660 adventure-tourer will replace the Tiger 850 Sport as the entry-level model in the company’s India portfolio. The new motorcycle features a semi-fairing design along with a tall windscreen, a sharp design for the twin-pod headlight, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up seat, and an underbelly exhaust. This is a road-biased motorcycle that rides on 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.
The feature list on the new Tiger Sport 660 includes full-LED lighting and a Bluetooth-ready digital instrument cluster. The electronics package includes switchable traction control, switchable ABS, and two riding modes (Rain and Road) as standard.
The mechanical specifications are similar to the Trident 660, and the new Tiger Sport 660 uses a 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 80bhp at 10,250rpm and 64Nm at 6,250rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
Internationally, the motorcycle has been revealed in three colours – Lucerne Blue & Sapphire Black, Graphite & Sapphire Black, and Korosi Red & Graphite. We expect to see all colour choices in the Indian market. Once launched, the new Tiger Sport 660 will rival the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Suzuki V-Storm 650 XT in India.
