- Classic Legends starts exporting Jawa Standard to Europe
- Listed on the brand’s European website as the 300 CL
- Makes less power and torque as compared to the India-spec model
The made-in-India Jawa Standard modern-classic offering has been introduced in the European markets. The motorcycle has recently been listed on Jawa’s European website and the company has renamed it as the 300 CL for the continent.
While the 300 CL aesthetically looks identical to the Jawa Standard sold in India, the specifications are different. It is powered by a Euro 4-compliant 294.7cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 22.5bhp at 7,000rpm and 25Nm at 5,750rpm. Comparatively, the India-spec model makes more power and torque at 27bhp and 28Nm. The rated top speed of the bike stands at 125kmph.
The braking hardware present in the Jawa 300 CL is a disc-drum combination with a single-channel ABS setup. Whereas, the one sold in India also comes in a twin disc variant with dual-channel ABS. Rest of the cycle parts remain the same as the India-spec iteration with an 18-17-inch wheel combo suspended by telescopic forks and a monoshock.
Besides the newly-introduced 300 CL, Jawa’s European portfolio also comprises of the 350 2T and the stunning, fully-faired café racer, the 350 OHC.
