- KTM 390 Adventure priced at USD 6,199
- Is exported from India
- Costs a premium over the BMW G310 GS
KTM has launched the 390 Adventure in America at USD 6,199 (approx. Rs 4.74 lakh). It costs a premium of USD 400 (Rs 30,600) over its biggest rival, the BMW G310 GS, in America.
The motorcycle is made in India at KTM’s plant near Pune before being exported to the USA.The international-spec KTM 390 Adventure gets the same 373cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 42.3bhp and 37Nm. It also sports the same Bluetooth-enabled TFT display, bi-directional quick shifter, slipper clutch, ride-by-wire throttle, off-road ABS and cornering ABS as well as traction control.
However, the 390 Adventure sold in international markets is also equipped with fully-adjustable, WP-sourced forks at the front which the Indian version misses out on. This has enabled KTM India to price the motorcycle at Rs 2.99 lakh; Rs 50,000 more affordable than the BMW G310 GS which costs Rs 3.5 lakh. (both prices, ex-showroom)
