Indian Motorcycles has introduced their top-of-the-line cruiser, the Chieftain Elite. This motorcycle has been priced at a whopping Rs 38 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
This super premium cruiser gets an exclusive hand painted silver finish, which took up to 25 hours to finish. The 2018 Chieftain Elite has a limited production of just 350 units worldwide and only a handful will make its way to India as a completely-built-up(CBU) unit.
As each motorcycle has been hand painted, no two Chieftain Elite motorcycles are alike. It also gets flared fenders with unique ten-spoke wheels, 200-watt audio system, premium leather seat, aluminium billet floorboards, chrome mirrors and a tinted windscreen. It sports a seven-inch instrument cluster which has Bluetooth, audio, navigation, vehicle information and status.
The Chieftain Elite is powered by the same 1811cc Thunderstroke 111 V-twin engine that is seen on most of the Indian bikes. This motor churns out 161.6Nm at 3000rpm. The braking duties are taken care of by 300mm twin discs in the front and a single 300mm disc at the rear. This motorcycle tops the scale at a whopping 388kg.
The 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite competes with the Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special, Honda Goldwing GL1800 and the BMW K 1600 B.
