- Confirms production model of FTR1200 flat-tracker
- Concept was designed by Roland Sands
- Launch in 2019
Indian Motorcycles has finally confirmed the launch of its next motorcycle, the FTR1200. The concept version of this flat-tracker was unveiled last year.
The arrival of this Indian was confirmed through a YouTube video which also shows some action footage of the FTR750 that won a lot of trophies for the company. While the American manufacturer didn’t reveal any concrete information on the bike, the absence of the Scout moniker and the usage of FTR makes us believe that the bike will get a new chassis and motor.
The FTR1200 concept was designed by Roland Sands, who is a well-known motorcycle designer. The bare-body and the raw look made the FR1200 concept one attractive motorcycle. In fact, most of the brand loyalists love the design. So we can expect the company to retain most of these design elements and offer one good looking flat-tracker.
There are two major motorcycle shows later this year, the Intermot and the EICMA. So there’s a small chance of the production model being teased at these events, with official launch taking place sometime next year.
