- Indian FTR 1200 Carbon was recently unveiled
- FTR 1200 Rally also listed on the website
- Could be launched in coming months
Indian Motorcycle has listed the FTR 1200 Carbon and FTR 1200 Rally on its official Indian website, suggesting that the motorcycles are likely to be launched soon.
The FTR 1200 Carbon was recently unveiled globally. Positioned as the top-spec variant, the FTR 1200 Carbon’ s fuel tank, fender, headlamp cowl, pillion seat cover as well as air-box is finished in carbon-fibre. Furthermore, the company also added twin Akrapovic canisters as standard.
On the other hand, the FTR 1200 Rally is a more off-road capable variant with a retro touch to its styling. It gets a new Titanium Smoke paint with a large Indian head decal on the fuel tank. The FTR 1200 Rally also features a flyscreen and tan-seat that adds to its retro character. However, the changes are not visually limited as the motorcycle also gets 50mm taller ProTaper handlebars and rides on spoke wheels instead of the alloy wheels on the other two variants.
Besides these differences, the FTR 1200 Carbon and FTR 1200 Rally remain the same as the standard variant which is available at Rs 16.15 lakh (ex-showroom). They come powered by a 1205cc, liquid-cooled V-twin that produces 125bhp and 117.9Nm. We can expect Indian Motorcycle to launch the two variants in India in the coming months after the lockdown had been lifted in the country.
