Indian Motorcycle has unveiled the limited-edition FTR Championship Edition. This new model from the American manufacturer, which will be limited to just 400 units, draws inspiration from the FTR750 and comes with a unique race livery. Components unique to the Championship Edition include carbon fibre tank shrouds, front fender, and seat cowl. The styling is further enhanced through titanium Akrapovic exhaust canisters. The top of the fuel tank lists the years when the company had won the championships.
The mechanical specifications include a 1,203cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that delivers 120hp of power and 118Nm of peak torque. The electronics on the motorcycle comprise three ride modes (Sport, Standard, and Rain), wheelie control, rear lift mitigation, traction control, and cornering ABS. The premium feature list includes LED lighting and a Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen TFT display.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels, fully-adjustable upside-down front forks, a fully-adjustable piggyback rear shock, dual discs at the front, a single rotor at the back, and a flat tracker aluminium handlebar. This model has been announced for the American market and it is priced at USD 16,499 (Rs 12.61 lakh). Its India launch, however, is not likely to happen.
