Indian Motorcycle is all set to open its first showroom in India, in Gurgaon, on May 7. The showroom will see all the three bikes – Chief Classic, Chief Vintage and the Chieftain, currently all are imported to India from the US through the completely-built-up (CBU) route.
The Chief classic has been priced at Rs 26.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) making it the most affordable Indian of the lot. The other two motorcycles , the Chief Vintage and the Chieftain have been priced at Rs 29.5 lakh and Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
All three bikes have been built on the same platform and the company has made sure to give it the latest technology without losing its retro and classic feeling. The bikes are powered by the Thunder Stroke 111 V-Twin engine with a displacement of 1,811cc and 139Nm (at 2,600) of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed constant mesh helical gearbox.
The iconic American brand will open its second showroom in Bangalore in the next few weeks. Apart from selling the bikes, the company will also showcase its various accessories and merchandise.
