Indian Motorcycles launches the Thunder Stroke 116 Stage 3 Big Bore Kit

Indian Motorcycles have unveiled their Thunder Stroke 116ci (1,901cc) Stage 3 Big Bore Kit. 

The kit is a performance upgrade accessory that is compatible with the motorcycles powered by the Thunder Stroke 111 engine (1,861cc). These bikes include- the Indian Chief Dark Horse, Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Springfield, Chieftain Dark Horse, Chieftain, Roadmaster and Roadmaster Classic. The Thunder Stroke 116ci Stage 3 Big Bore kit offers a 20 per cent increase in horsepower and 15 per cent increase in torque as compared to the stock Thunder Stroke 111 engine. 

The kit includes new cylinders, big bore pistons, 60mm throttle body, Stage 3 camshafts, revised intake manifold, performance valve springs and heavy duty clutch springs. However, it would require the Stage 1 kit to be installed too. The Stage 1 kit consists of a ‘Performance Air Cleaner’, ‘Thunder Stroke High Flow Air Cleaner’ and a slip-on exhaust.

While the kit is available in international markets for $1999 (Rs 1.29 lakhs), the company has not commented on the timeline of its availability in India.
