Indian Motorcycles has revealed its newest product at the EICMA 2022. It’s the FTR Sport and replaces the FTR S. Moreover, the new, sportier FTR has been positioned between the R Carbon and Rally, and here’s what it gets.
By the looks of it, the FTR Sport dons a flashy colour scheme of white and red. The bodywork is similar to the existing trims. So, it features the same fuel tank and single-piece seat while a body-painted visor now tops the round LED. The FTR Sport also gets a body-painted belly pan.
Powering the 1,203cc liquid-cooled V-twin with the torque rated at 118Nm at 6,000rpm. The horsepower figures aren’t disclosed yet. It’s mated to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slipper clutch. On the feature front, the FTR Sport gets a four-inch TFT, LED illumination, ride modes (rain, standard, and sport), lean-sensitive ABS, stability control, traction control, wheelie control, and rear lift mitigation, cruise control, and USB charging port.
The suspension setup on the Indian FTR Sport consists of Sachs USD front forks and a fully adjustable Sachs monoshock. And for the braking hardware, it gets 320mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a 260mm rear disc. It rides on 17-inch alloys shoed with Metzeler Sportec rubber.
Indian will offer the FTR Sport in two colours: Black Metallic and Indy Red. Indian could launch the new FTR Sport in our country sometime in the near future.
