Polaris recently teased the Indian Roadmaster Elite for our market. It will be the 12th model in the Indian line-up, and will sit right on top of the foodchain as their most expensive offering. Here is what we can look forward to from the Indian Roadmaster Elite –
Exclusive paint job
To set it apart from the crowd, the Roadmaster Elite gets a hand-painted cobalt blue and black paint scheme. It even gets a 23K gold leaf badge on the fuel tank. Indian claims that it takes 30 hours to hand paint the Roadmaster Elite.
Bells and whistles
Being a top-of-the-line model, the Roadmaster Elite features all the bells and whistles that Indian has to offer. The seven-inch touchscreen system is paired with Ride Command infotainment system, and integrates a navigation system, 300-watt audio system as well as displays ride data. It also gets pillion armrests, billet aluminium floorboards, a premium touring console and pinnacle mirrors.
Thunderstroke engine
The Roadmaster Elite is powered by the 1811cc ‘Thunder Stroke 111’ V-twin engine developing 135Nm of torque and mated to a six-speed gearbox. Those who wish to extract more performance can opt for extras like high flow air intake, performance cams and exhaust systems.
Launch plans
Like the rest of the line-up, the Roadmaster Elite will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU). Taking its exclusivity and all the bells and whistles into account, we can safely expect it to demand a premium north of Rs 60 lakhs. A few reports suggest that the Roadmaster Elite will be launched in India in February. Bookings are now open.
