Polaris is going to launch the Indian Scout Bobber in India this November. Indian motorcycle dealerships have started accepting bookings for the motorcycle for a token amount of Rs 50,000.
The Indian Scout Bobber is based on the same platform as the Scout cruiser, though it is more of a stripped down custom motorcycle. The wheels, frame, exhaust and the engine have been given a matte black treatment, while the engine gets chrome outline. The fuel tank features a new Indian logo. The riding position has changed thanks to the revised handlebar and foot pegs.
At the heart of the Scout Bobber is the same 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. This engine delivers 100bhp and 97Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The ground clearance has been dropped by an inch, thanks to the lowered rear suspension. At the front, the Scout Bobber has been updated with cartridge-type telescopic forks.
Indian would be offering a slew of option extras like pillion back rest, slip-on exhaust, saddlebags, spoke wheels, engine guards, bar-end mirrors and ape-style handlebars. The Scout Bobber is expected to be launched in the first week of November, although the company is yet to announce a confirmed date.
