The Indian Scout Bobber has been launched in India. While dealerships had started accepting bookings for the Scout Bobber in the last month, the despatch of the motorcycles have now commenced.
The Scout Bobber gets the stripped down look of a custom motorcycle. The wheels, frame, exhaust and the engine feature matte black paint, which contrasts beautifully with the engine’s chrome outline. The fuel tank features a new Indian insignia. Although it is based on the Scout, the riding position has been revised.
At the heart of the Scout Bobber is the same 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine. The engine puts out 100bhp and 97Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. The Scout Bobber rides on cartridge-type telescopic forks and a dual springs setup at the rear. The ground clearance has been dropped by one inch, thanks to shorter travel at the rear.
Like the rest of the Indian range, the Scout Bobber is imported as a completely built unit. It competes against the Moto Guzzi V9 Bobber and the Harley-Davidson Fat Bob.
EDIT: The amount of Rs 13.95 lakh we had mentioned earlier is the expected price of the Scout Bobber. Indian or Polaris haven't yet officially announced the pricing for the motorcycle.
