Polaris is going to launch the Indian Scout Bobber in India on 24 November. A rival to the Harley-Davidson Roadster, Scout Bobber will make its maiden public appearance at the 2017 India Bike Week festival in Goa.
True to its bobber character, the Indian Scout Bobber gets a stripped down and minimalistic look with beefy tyres. It is based on the same Scout chassis, though the Scout Bobber gets a revised suspension setup. It rides on new cartridge-type front forks and rear springs with one inch shorter travel. The footpeg position and handlebar have also been revised to offer an aggressive riding position. The wheels, frame, exhaust and the engine feature a matte black finish. The engine’s chrome outline contrasts with the bodywork.
Powering the Scout Bobber is the same 1133cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine, which delivers 100bhp and 97Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. Like the rest of the Indian range, the Scout Bobber will be imported as completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to sport a price tag of around Rs 14 lakhs (ex-showroom).
