Looks like nothing is going to stop Indian Motorcycles from becoming one of the most successful cruiser brands. It has just been a month since the company showcased the Scout Sixty at the 2015 EICMA and it is gearing up to launch their next bike.
As per Visordown, the American manufacturer will introduce the new Springfield motorcycle in 2016. This new motorcycle is expected to be built around the Chieftain and the Roadmaster chassis. In terms of its heart, the Springfield will get the same 1811cc V-Twin air-cooled engine that produces 91bhp. While there is no information on the design and styling of this new bike, we are expecting it to resemble the current Chief range.
This information was discovered through the US Environmental Protection Agency website. In fact, the company had applied the name ‘Indian Springfield’ for trademark around a year ago. The name Springfield relates to Indian’s original place in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Indian Springfield should debut early next year and make its way to the showrooms soon.
Talking about its Indian launch, well, it will eventually make it to India as a completely-built-up (CBU) unit. But will be priced on the expensive side, just like all the other Indian motorcycles.
