- First Kawasaki Z H2 delivered in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh
- Motorcycle available in two variants (Standard and SE)
- SE version gets Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension
Kawasaki India has delivered the country’s first Z H2 supercharged roadster in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The Indian arm of the Japanese two-wheeler maker had announced the launch of the Z H2 and the Z H2 SE in our market in January last year. The roadsters, which rival the likes of the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the BMW S 1000 R, were launched in India with prices starting from Rs 21.90 lakh onwards.
The standard ZH2 is available at Rs 21.90 lakh while the premium ZH2 SE, which gets electronically-adjustable Showa suspension setup is listed at Rs 25.90 lakh. These models remain unaffected by the company’s most recent price hike.
The Kawasaki Z H2 series benefits from the company’s Sugomi design philosophy and packs features such as full-LED lighting and Bluetooth-enabled 4.3-inch colour instrument cluster. The mechanical specifications on both variants include a 998cc, in-line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve, supercharged engine that produces 197.2bhp of maximum power. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox that benefits from an assist and slipper clutch.
Both variants use a trellis frame. The suspension tasks on the standard model are handled by SHOWA SFF-BP front forks and a SHOWA rear mono-shock. The SE model, as mentioned above, benefits from KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) with Showa’s Skyhook technology. The electronic rider aids on both variants include traction control, three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain), power modes (Full, Middle, and Low), ABS, launch control, quickshifter, and a cruise control system.
