Royal Enfield in Indonesia has just launched the Rumbler 500, a renamed version of the Thunderbird 500, at RP 82,000,000 (Rs 3.98 lakh). At the opening of a new RE showroom in West Pejaten in Jakarta, the new Rumbler 500 was proudly put on display and now joins the existing fleet of RE motorcycles.
Royal Enfield confirmed that the Rumbler 500 has been introduced to cater to those buyers who favour the style of a cruiser to aid the touring abilities. It comes with a 20-litre tank, digital meter console, LED tail lamps and is available in three shades of black. Royal Enfield currently sells the Continental GT, Classic 350 and 500, Bullet 500 EFI and the Bullet 350 in the Indonesian market.
On introducing Royal Enfield motorcycles, Rudy, President, Royal Enfield, said "The Rumbler 500 is suitable for driving long distances, has good ergonomics, excellent braking power and boasts great visibility while driving at night. He added that the Rumbler 500 used the all-black design trademark with the 500cc Unit Construction Engine (UCE). The engine delivers 27.2bhp using an electronic fuel injection system along with a torque of 41.3Nm. The Rumbler 500 is designed to create a different character on the streets of Indonesia."
