Kawasaki has revealed the updated versions of their supercharged motorcycles – the Ninja H2 and the Ninja H2R at the 2016 Intermot show, Germany.
The major update seen on these bikes is the introduction of new Ohlins TTX rear suspension to improve the high-speed stability. These Japanese hyper bikes now get Bosch’s six-axis inertial measurement unit to measure the lean angle, forward and backward pitch so that the safety features like traction control and ABS work more effectively. The cornering ABS now comes as standard. There has been no change to the 1000cc inline-four motor but the bike is now Euro 4 compliant, thanks to the new exhaust.
The instrument cluster on the Ninja H2 and the H2R has been revised too. It now shows the bank angle, real-time lean angle along with the maximum angle of each ride. The bike is now equipped with quickshifter with auto-blipper function for seamless downshifts.
Along with these two bikes, Kawasaki also unveiled the Ninja H2 Carbon. The Carbon name relates to the CFRP (carbon reinforced polymer) upper cowl that distinguishes it from the base model. The Carbon version also gets the same paint finish as the H2R but sports a matte finish. Only 120 units of these will ever be made and each one of them will carry a unique reference number.
