Aprilia has announced that its streetfighter, the Tuono V4 1100, will get semi active Ohlins suspension for the Factory variant. This is the main distinguising feature between the RR and the Factory now.
The components for the Tuono V4 1100 Factory are pretty much carried over from the RSV4 RF. This includes an electronically controlled steering damper, front forks with 8mm more travel (125mm, now), and a semi-active rear shock with TTX technology. Preload is adjustable with an allen key. The engine tuning is the same: 175bhp at 11,000rpm and 121Nm at 9000rpm are generated from the 1077cc V4 engine.
The electronics package includes an 8-step traction control that can be adjusted on the fly without closing the throttle, 3 level wheelie control, 3 level launch control, a two-way quickshifter, pit lane speed limiter, and cruise control. Cornering ABS is present, with three levels. The wheels are still cast aluminium units, but we're sure forged ones will make their way to the Tuono in the future.
Two new colour schemes distinguish the 2019 Aprilia Tuono V4 RR from the rest of the lineup: 'red Sachsenring' and 'gray Magny-Cours'. The Factory gets Superpole graphics in black and red.
The Tuono RR and Factory will make it to Indian shores soon after their global launch, and expect a limited run for both.
