Intermot, the second biggest two-wheeler show after EICMA has been called off this year. This move was taken owing to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Intermot takes place once every two years and the 2020 edition was supposed to take place from 6-11 October in Germany. While there were a few brands still interested in unveiling some of their 2021 models, KTM and BMW had decided not to participate in this year’s event.
The organisers of Intermot felt that with the current pandemic, there’s a strong need of social distancing which wouldn't have been possible at the event. But, the organisers plan to conduct a digital event which will serve as a platform for all manufacturers to unveil and launch their 2021 models.
