- Likely to be based on the Hero 2.5R Xtunt Concept
- To be powered by a 250cc, liquid-cooled motor
- Could be unveiled at EICMA 2024
Hero MotoCorp has patented the design of an upcoming sportbike in India. The said motorcycle could be the upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250. The patent image suggests that the bike is based on the Hero 2.5R Xtunt Concept.
The fuel tank, tail section, and front fender design are identical to the stunt concept. The overall styling and bodywork is different from the Karizma XMR 210. From the looks of it, the motorcycle seems to get integrated winglets and USD front forks. That said, the headlamp assembly and the rest of the cycle parts are identical to the Karizma XMR 210.
Powering this motorcycle will be a 250cc, liquid-cooled motor from the 2.5R Xtunt Concept. Although the power figures aren’t known yet, expect them to be marginally higher than the XMR 210. Meanwhile, we expect Hero to offer the same six-speed gearbox on this bike.
The Karizma XMR was launched with much fanfare but the sales response has been lukewarm. With the Karizma XMR 250, Hero could be looking at reviving its sales. Although unconfirmed, Hero could showcase the motorcycle at EICMA 2024, while the launch could take place sometime next year.
