A half camouflaged Bajaj motorcycyle that looks exactly like the Pulsar 200NS has been spied testing near Akurdi facility in Pune by an online group. If rumours are to be believed, then Bajaj could be developing a Pulsar 180NS variant that will be launched in India this fiscal year. The company, however, isn’t revealing any details about their future Pulsar models. Other than a different crank case cover, the motorcycle looks exactly similar to the Pulsar 200NS making it difficult to judge whether it’s a 150 NS or the 180NS.
We feel the 150 variant of this motorcycle makes more sense for many reasons. Firstly, the Pulsar 150 is currently the dullest Pulsar in the entire range. Developing a new 180cc variant doesn’t make sense as there is already a 200cc variant that offers great value for customers. Secondly, it makes more sense to develop a 150NS that will cater to that particular segment and with the platform that underpins the 200NS, we can expect this variant to be priced very competitively.
Let’s wait for a while and let Bajaj solve the mystery with the launch of the new Pulsar.
