- Gets a proper supersport front end
- Could be placed between the R15 and KTM RC200
- To be powered by a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine
Hero MotoCorp is working on one of its upcoming premium motorcycles, which is the Karizma XMR. We recently came across spy shots of two upcoming Hero motorcycles in a similar development. Since those images only revealed the two bikes’ rearview, we speculated one of them to be the 2023 Xtreme 160R. Now, a new video has surfaced online and it reveals the side profile of the second bike, thereby providing a better perspective.
The spy shots reveal a much sharper and more aggressive side profile, something that Hero hasn’t done so far. It gets a proper supersport-like fascia, similar to a certain Japanese motorcycle. So, could this be the new Hero Karizma XMR 210? Well, we think it’s quite possible.
As revealed in our previous stories, the bike will house a 210cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with 25bhp and 30Nm of output. It’ll be mated to a six-speed gearbox. Moreover, the images also show a set of clip-on handlebars, which are placed quite high and give the test bike a more sport-tourer-like feel. It rides on telescopic front forks and a monoshock while the brakes comprise a front and rear disc. With this, the rider sits quite upright with his feet slightly rear-set. Notably, Hero has filed two trademarks for its upcoming bike: Karizma XMR 210 and Karizma XMR. So, either of the names could be used.
Considering Hero is known to price its motorcycles towards the affordable side, we expect the Hero Karizma XMR to sit between the Yamaha YZF R15 and the KTM RC200. So, its asking price could be around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
